Interview with Michelle James

Daveana Owens, Leshay Woodside

We had an interesting time interviewing Michelle James. She inspires us all!

Michelle James
She is a member of an after school program called Drumline. Drumline are several students who march and play with drums. Drumline means a lot to her because she likes learning new and interesting things. Michelle also likes Drumline because it helps her from being bored at home. Her favorite color is blue and loves to play basketball. She was originally a basketball player until she got injured in a game that prevented her from playing again. One thing she wishes she can do to help the world is "to give all the children and adults who are hungry food and shelter."

Michelle sees herself 10 years from now as a "Basketball star!" or a "Drumline expert!" because she would like to show off her skills. She describes drumline in one word as "Entertaining" because you are never bored. She would like to encourage people to do things that are not ordinary instead of being in the "In" crowd.

Interview with Mr. Taylor

By: Kongmeng and Shafay

While interviewing Mr. Taylor we have found out that he's not yet married. Since he's 49 years old, he's strange isn't he? (For me I would be married when I'm around 20 years old or so). Not just that, he's a science teacher and also a coach. He has been teaching volleyball for ten years in Burbank.

He is a respectful person. The good thing students like about him is he is funny and helps solve students' problems.

Greg Taylor, volleyball coach
During school times he like to stay in his classroom and help students with their science work. He lives alone in his house. (For me it's very hard to live alone in a house because I am scared of witches). To me Mr.Taylor is good person. I wish in future I have the same life as him.

Interview:Gabriel Fallis

by:Danielle Hunt

Do you really know Gabe Fallis? Well, as I was interviewing him I found out that his full name is Gabriel Leigh Fallis. Then as I was interviewing him I also found out that his ethnicity is Mexican,White, Filipino, Native American and Portuguese.
When I asked him what his favorite food was his initial response was everything. He isn't too picky about what he eats and he is grateful for that. He especially likes the finger food.shrimp.
Gabe is a fun, energetic down-to-earth guy, but he is not very outgoing. He is the shy awkward kind of person. When he talks to someone he doesn't make direct eye contact and it can really get a little weird. Other than that he has many different qualities to his beautiful life. He has a very energetic side. He loves to run around and to wrestle. Gabe is an overall happy child. He doesn't have a boring life and he definitely shows it. He keeps busy and hangs out with his friends.

Gabriel Fallis
You know a typical teenage boy would probably talk about having swag, but not this one. Gabe isn't a typical teenage boy all he does on his free time is boxing, jump rope and to play with his pet iguana. He does all this stuff simply just to keep a joyful attitude and he doesn't care about what other people think.

He attends NJROTC and stays fit and active with the program. He also has a very peculiar career choice too.He would like to be a Navy rescue swimmer.

Interview with Mr.Hull

By Alisia Baca and David Coleman
A picture of John Hull

We have recently interviewed John Richard Hull to find out more of what's behind his job as a teacher. Also to get to know a little bit about him.

John is from Tulsa, Oklahoma but he feels like he grew up in Denver, because when he was 14 he moved there and continued to move onto high school and eventually college. "We all know that when you hit high school and college, that's when you start to grown up," Hull said.

He describes himself as an older middle-aged guy who just flat out loves life. He doesn't have any bad habits or any glaring faults, so you can imagine he's a pretty normal, everyday person.

Behind school doors here at Luther Burbank he teaches Digital Media. He also teaches Journalism, video photography, videography, editing photos/ videos, and design.

Outside of the school he likes to play golf with his two sons and he enjoys fishing. Although he doesn't do it often he still misses it. He also likes to write. He's a writer for the Elk Grove Citizen and has been since 2007.

We chose Mr.Hull because he is a very interesting man and teacher.
