The "Got Milk Challenge" is raging for the next 3 weeks. The winning school earns $3000 for its ASB.
To win we must be the high school with the most increase in eating breakfast. Everyone is welcome to eat breakfast from 7a.m. to 8a.m. We've won the challenge the past two years and we're going for a third.
This year there are a couple new breakfasts in the cafeteria. The things they have are a breakfast begal and banana muffin. The cafeteria ladies are looking forward to making soup this year when the weather starts getting colder.
Come eat good food. They have BBQ, pizza and other good stuff for lunch. Remember, lunch is free at Burbank.

The Cheesehead Appears!
| "Cross dressing Gaara" by Trina Hooker |
Little did you know, I just moved here almost a year ago. I came from the great state of Wisconsin, home of the 'Cheeseheads'! I really didn't plan on moving here and I didn't want to. I soon realized that thought was completely stupid! Luther Burbank has the best teachers EVER. The work load is so light and my House (VAPA) is the best house of all houses in the universe of houses (Lead by Mr. Jones). Since coming here, I have joined the Newspaper Club.
I promise to bring you only the best news!
| From the normal eye, this looked like a regular hanging branch, but the through the lens of a camera it becomes a work of art. |
Yessenia Sanchez Burbank Junior
Hi, my name is Yessenia Sanchez. I'm a junior At Luther Burbank high school. I've spent all my high school years here and I enjoy it. I've been across many friends and many unplesent people.
I'm born and raised in Sacramento, California, lived in Jalisco, Mexico, for about a year after I turned 44 days old and brought back after I turned one. I recently went back to Jalisco and got to know the place were I took my first steps and started to learn how to talk and dance and love.
When I was in Mexico I was taking photos of many things like flowers people and just pure nature. Taking photos wasn't something I liked doing, but now I enjoy to take photographs of nature because I found out that nature contains a variety of beauty in it alone. Flowers, roses, trees, grass and every other plant is unique as well as every human being on this planet even though you may not know it.
