According to the head teacher of band Mr. Lizarraga, music gives kids a sense of direction and drives them to a better life. He said that his students seem to really enjoy band he said he is very proud of his students. Then we asked him what made him want to become a band teacher and he said it was because he wanted to share his knowledge to all of those who don't have any musical experience and let them show what they actually know.
How will music affect a student's life?
"It gives them critical thinking," he said. "Helps them work with others and emotional intelligence and social ability."
Band is a good source of keeping the students focused on their lives. Plus, it's fun to learn to play a musical instrument.
