Here at Luther Burbank, parents can find comfort in the fact that the school is only accessible to employees and students. Who wants a open campus?
Our children need to be in school. If you're a having a bad day, then tough cookies! Just up and leaving will not make your day or grades better.
Can you really be comfortable with the fact that vitrtually anyone can enter the campus at anytime?
Growing up in Midwest, I didn't have the liberty to argue about this subject. Once you entered school, you couldn't leave until the bell for school to end rung.
Children who want this "open-campus" can't even justify why having it is a good idea. All they say is, "I don't want to eat school lunch." Will you be worried about what you can eat for lunch when you're under a desk during a Code Red because some lunatic is creeping around on school grounds?
Open-campus is a bad and stupid idea proposed by kids insecure of their intelligence to look cool.
Say no to Open-campus.
