Onee of Burbank's after-school  programs is The New Age Latinas. It is a program that teaches Latino girls more about their heritage. They do yoga every Friday and make the most smacking tamales ever which are on sale after school or you may preorder them.

Movie Review: The Croods

The Croods tell the story of the world's first family road trip. When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family must embark on a comedy adventure into strange and spectacular territory in search of a new home. As if patriarch Grug (Nicholas Cage) didn't already have enough to handle, it goes from bad to worse when they encounter an imaginative nomad named Guy (Guy Reynolds.) With Guy's help the Croods conquer their fear of the outside world and discover that they have exactly what it takes to survive - each other.(c) Paramount

My advice for you all is to try to watch this movie because The Croods will prove softly entertaining for families seeking a fast-paced, funny cartoon adventure. Also, 80% of the audience polled said it was interesting and enjoyed it.

Safe School Ambassadors

Safe School Ambassadors will meet Weds 3rd period in room H 11. Ms.Borcich is the P.E. teacher and directo of the Safe School Ambassadors. She says it is a program that helps specific students to promote a safe school. The Ambassadors are picked by teachers. They are good students and also a role models.

Why Join Band

According to the head teacher of band Mr. Lizarraga, music gives kids a sense of direction and drives them to a better life. He said that his students seem to really enjoy band he said he is very proud of his students. 

Then we asked him what made him want to become a band teacher and he said it was because he wanted to share his knowledge to all of those who don't have any musical experience and let them show what they actually know.

How will music affect a student's life?

"It gives them critical thinking," he said. "Helps them work with others and emotional intelligence and social ability."

Band is a good source of keeping the students focused on their lives. Plus, it's fun to learn to play a musical instrument.

Spirit Week

Spirit week is a week long representation of our school spirit at Luther Burbank. It begins Oct. 14 and will conclude on Friday, Oct. 18. That evening the Titans' football team will take on McClatchy at Titan Stadium. The JV game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. and the varsity game will start 30 minutes later.

The week consists of the following:

Monday: Mustache day, bring your unique mustache and wear it with pride all day long.

Tuesday: Generation day, freshman dress as babies, sophomores dress as toddlers, juniors dress as kids, and seniors dress as adults.

Wednesday: Cray Cray day, dress in your most outlandish clothes, mix and match, etc.

Thursday: Teddy bear day, bring your favorite teddy bear.

Friday: Class Colors Day: freshman's wear yellow, sophomores wear green, juniors wear columbian blue, and seniors wear purple.

What I Would Do Differently If I Run The School

If I was to run the school I would change everything about our school.

The first thing I'll change about our school is the way we dress.  I would make it where we can wear anything we want except for really short shorts but everyone would have the right to wear their own clothes and express themselves and not feel bad about what there wearing.

I would also change the way our classes are. I would add more extra classes like Art, Dance, Engineering, Cosmetology; anything that students need to help with them in life to succeed. 
But,  I would change how the school is because everyone deserve a chance to be somebody.
